Donna McNew Administrator
As a former business owner of 17 years, Angie began her teaching career in the North Little Rock School District.  She joined North Little Rock Montessori in 2006 as a teacher’s assistant in the 5th/6th and 3rd/4th grades.  In 2007, Angie became our 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher and continued in that position for two years.  The 2009/2010 school year brought with it a new position for our staff and for Angie.  She now performs the duties of an administrator's assistant.   Angie Scott received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Kay Crosson - Reading

Kay Crosson has been the North Little Rock Montessori Reading Lab Specialist for 9 years.  Prior to her work here, Kay was employed for 19 years at the Pulaski County Special School District reinforcing reading skills in the Title I Program.  Her college education was received through Henderson University.  Kay has received additional training in Remedial Reading and teaching children to read phonetically.  She has taken many hours of Montessori In Service Training and is an asset to our curriculum.

Angie Scott Administrator's Assistant
Donna McNew is the Administrator for the NLR Montessori School.  Before taking the Administrator’s position in 2005, she was the 1st and 2nd grade Directress for 15 years.  Prior to coming to the North Little Rock Montessori School, she was the Director/Directress for the Levy Christian Montessori School in North Little Rock and The Early Childhood Learning Center for military children in Okinawa.   In 1980, Donna received her Montessori training for ages 2 ½ through 7 years from Jane Dutcher, through the St. Nicholas Training Center.  She attended classes for ages 7 through 11 from Dr. Keith Parker, a teacher and trainer from St. Nicholas Montessori Training Center in London, England.  She completed her Director’s Training in 2005, and Administrator’s Training in 2006, from the Arkansas State University Childhood Services.   Other educational/training received was through Southern Junior College and UALR, along with numerous Continued Education classes.  Donna has 30 years of Montessori teaching experience.
