Shana graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a BA in Art Education in 2000. Shana is a certified, licensed art teacher for grades Pre-k through 12th. She has taught at Episcopal Collegiate School, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Sylvan Hills United Methodist Early Learning Center, and the Arkansas Arts Center. This is her second year at NLR Montessori School, and her tenth year of teaching. Shana is the teacher for the Kindergarten / 1st grade class. Currently, she is halfway through her MEI training to be a certified Montessori teacher as she has completed 100 training hours through MEI. She will complete the other 100 hours this summer. Some of her former art students have been accepted into the Young Arkansas Artist Exhibit at the Arkansas Arts Center. She has been a member of the National and Arkansas Art Education Association for a number of years. She is married to Jeff who is a math teacher at Ridge Road Middle Charter School and has two daughters, Laura Beth in 2nd grade and Abbie in Pre-K, both at NLR Montessori.
